If you’re someone who loves cookie dough even more than the cookies, here’s how to make cookie dough you can absolutely spoon away! No more worrying about uncooked food poisoning. Just enjoy the creamy, chewy texture with the soft flavor of nostalgia.

List of Ingredients:

  • Butter
  • Granulated sugar
  • Vanilla extract
  • All-purpose flour
  • Milk
  • Chocolate chips
  • Nuts

Irresistible, nostalgia-filled dessert

  1. Heat-treat the flour to make it safe to eat. Preheat the oven to 350 degrees F. Take a rimmed 18” x 13” baking tray and line it with parchment paper. Spread 2 cups of all-purpose flour evenly. Bake for 6-7 minutes so that the internal temperature touches 160 degrees F.
  2. Take 1 1/4 cup of granulated sugar and 1 cup of softened butter in a large bowl. Whisk it together with an electric mixer for 4-5 minutes till it becomes light and fluffy. Add 2 tsp vanilla extract, 1 tsp salt, and beat some more.
  3. Add the heat-treated flour and combine the mix. If the dough is too crumbly, add in a few tablespoons of milk, one at a time, to get the desired consistency.
  4. Fold in chocolate chips or toasted and chopped nuts. Garnish with sprinkles or more chocolate chips.

Chef Tip: This cookie dough can be enjoyed as is or even baked into cookies. Simply mix in 1tbsp baking powder and refrigerate the dough for at least 4-5 hours before baking. It will keep the fat solidified so that your cookies don’t spread. Bake at 350 degrees F for 13 minutes and transfer to a wire rack for cooling.

Try out this easy and safe-to-eat cookie dough recipe and see how the kids enjoy it as much as (if not more than) the cookies themselves! Don’t forget to tell us about your experience in the comments below.
