  • 2 tbsp powdered sugar

  • ½ tsp salt
  • 1 tsp vanilla essence
  • ½ tbsp butter

  1. Take water in a pan, add sugar to it and bring it to a boil. In another bowl, whisk together cocoa, butter, and salt with milk and add into the boiling water.
  2. Stir continuously without forming lumps for 3-5 minutes until the sauce texture thickens. 
  3. Check for consistency, and accordingly add water, if you want thin consistency.
  4. Turn off the heat and add vanilla essence to it. 
  5. Keep it aside till it cools down. You will see that your chocolate sauce has thickened a bit and is ready to serve.

Chef Tip: You can make a vegan version of this sauce by skipping milk and butter. For nutty zest, you can add cashew or almond milk instead.
