List of ingredients: 

  • 1½ cups diced strawberries
  • 1 cup heavy whipped cream
  • 1 tsp vanilla extract
  • ½ cup sugar
  • 2 tbsp honey
  • 1 cup half-and-half

This easy Ice Cream recipe is a treat to beat the heat!

  1. Mix strawberries, honey, sugar, and lemon juice in a large bowl. Allow it to sit until the strawberries have released their juices. Mash the mixture with a masher.
  2. To the strawberry mix, add in heavy cream, vanilla extract, and half-and-half. Stir until everything is equally combined.
  3. Pour the mixture into the ice cream maker and churn the ice cream for about 15-20 minutes.
  4. Freeze the ice cream for at least 4 hours or serve it soft.

Chef Tip: If you like the fresh taste of berries in your ice cream, dice them as big or small according to your taste preferences. The strawberry and sugar mixture can also be puréed to make the ice cream smooth. For extra fun, sandwich the ice cream between two sugar cookies. You can also use condensed milk to make this delicious ice cream alternative to half-and-half sugar and lemon juice.
