  1. Make a dry mix of 1 ½ cups of all-purpose flour, 4 tbsp powdered sugar, 2 tsp baking powder, and a pinch of salt.
  2. Whisk two whole eggs and 1/3 cup milk into the dry mix to make a smooth batter.
  3. In a medium-sized pan, heat 1/4 cup butter and mix in 2 large-sized apples, peeled and diced into small, 1/2 inch cubes. Cook for 3-4 minutes till the apples soften. Add 1/3 cup powdered sugar and 2 tsp cinnamon powder. Mix well and turn off the heat. Once cool, fold the apples into the batter.
  4. In a large skillet, heat oil to 375 deg F for deep-frying. Drop little dollops of batter about 1/3 cup each into the oil and spread them. Cook for about 2 minutes till both sides are golden brown.
  5. Place the fritter donuts on a paper towel to drain the excess oil. Let them cool.
  6. In a bowl, whisk 2 cups of powdered sugar with 1/4 cup milk and add a few drops of vanilla extract. Pour this glaze on the fritters till they’re lightly coated. Let the glaze dry, and voila, your Apple Fritter Donuts recipe is completed.

Chef Tip: How to make apple fritter donuts crispy? The temperature of the oil should be 375 deg F while frying. It will drop when you add the batter, so increase the heat slightly. Use a candy thermometer to keep a check.
