1. So, tell us what you do?

I am a food show host, an author, a cook and I run a bunch of restaurants as well. Basically, you can call me a textbook foodie, who not only enjoys food but has made a living out of it.

2. What does Vincent mean?

The name is derived from the Latin word Vincentius which means “conquering”. Honestly, I don’t think my parents looked up the meaning, they’re regular Americans who wanted an exotic-sounding name, little did they know it’s not as exotic as they think it is, haha!

3. Tell us one thing we don’t know about you?

Umm, I don’t have a lot of secrets. Well, I have visited all 195 countries in the world. Yes, that sounds like a lot of traveling and it was indeed a lot, but I’d do it again if my age and health allowed. I can say I’ve done everything I’ve wanted to in my life, and now I’m doing more with the opportunities this life has given me.

4. What brings you joy or makes you happy?

Christmas! It’s the most wonderful time of the year, right? After years and years of traveling, I want to stay home with family for Christmas and exchange gifts, eat good food, drink wine and eggnog, and enjoy all things I enjoyed as a kid. Somewhere while growing up, I think I lost touch with my roots, and I am getting it back.

5. What do you do in your free time?

Well, I play golf. Yes, it’s a pretty cliché white man hobby to have, but it is what it is. A hole in one is my next big dream, and I am working on it. I also enjoy chugging a couple of beers with my golf friends after our gold session, which is not very long, to be honest. Give me a break, I’m 52, haha!
