1. Let’s talk about the Michelin Stars you have under your belt.

Yes, I’ve got 10 of those. I got a funny story actually. Every time I made a dish that I thought would bag me a Michelin Star, it never did. But when I prepared a dish with the least amount of efforts and just enjoyed preparing it, it sure got me 10.

2. What do you have to say about the cooking shows you host?

Yes, that’s a lot of fun as well. People have this perception that I am extremely rude to the contestants, but it’s an approach I take in the kitchen to prepare budding chefs to handle situations under pressure. You got to grow a strong thick skin if you want to be a chef, I’ll tell you that. Plus, that’s literally the job of a critic. 

3. Tell us one thing we don’t know about you?

Um, there are a lot of things the public doesn’t know about me because I am a very private person. But let me throw one here – I don’t have a swimming pool in my house. Yep, it’s the most random thing but that’s what came to my mind when you asked me that question haha.

4. What brings you joy or makes you happy?

Swimming! See why the previous fact is surprising? I love swimming and yet I don’t have a pool in my house. It’s bugging me, I really got to get one. Anyway, my house is a private property by the sea. So I go swimming and it really makes me happy.

5. What do you do in your free time?

I don’t have free time, let’s start with that. But when I do get some time on my hand, I guess I spend time with my kids. I watch whatever is their latest whim. Right now, my daughter is really into Frozen, and I think I’ve watched it a couple hundred times and am on the verge of snapping, LOL!
